Characteristics of Successful People – Insistence
Success is very beautiful word and has a good taste in the hearts of people. Who doesn’t like success in every side of life? Who doesn’t hope to be one of The Successful People in this life? No one as I believe. Success feeling is interesting and cause happiness in everything.
Successful people are not different in the outside physiological shape. They have two hands and five fingers in each hand. They have two ears like everyone. They have a brain which has the same organic synthesis for each human in the life, the same number of cells, the same type and composition of each human brain cell. But as a successful people they use this brain in different way of other human.
“Genius consists of 10% intelligence and 90% continuous work” This was Thomas Edison. So, the characteristic for successful people is some habits. These habits are the main factor of secret of successful people distinction. Insistence is one of these habits.
Insistence is the attendance of doing something for reach something regularly every certain period of time. But upon to mind intelligence not blind repeating. “The similar beginnings lead to similar ends” So, it is not logic to do the same thing every time in the same way and hope get success one day.
I have a nice story about this mistake. Once there were two friends in Movie Theater. They were watching a cowboy film. In scene from the movie scenes the star of film is riding a horse and running. In his way there was a hole. But the star doesn’t know about it. He may fall down. But who knows that?
“Do you betting me that the star will not fall into the hole?” A friend asked. B friend agreed the bet for $100. After minute the star came to the hole and fell into it. So, B friend win the bet. And while he is taking the money from his friend A, A told him “Although I saw the movie more than time before” B friend wondered from this and ask him.
“So, why did you make this bet?” wondered B friend.
“I expected that he may pay attention this time” replied A friend.
This is funny, isn’t it? Yes, it is. But also it is a pity if you find someone does the same and expect the success one day. In fact, it is very unfortunate.
The Successful people are differing from others in their insistence of trying a lot of experiments in every time. Thomas Edison made over than 1000 experiments for inventing the electric lamp but each experiment was differ from the next one. In the end he reached the century invention. The name of Thomas Edison was associated with electric lamp forever, although he had invented more than 1300 inventions. Do you got it? It is INSISTENCE.
Dale Carnegie made an experiment with his students in college. He asked them one day about their dreams and targets in life. A lot of them told Carnegie about their dreams, but a little told him their detailed plan.
20 years later, Carnegie made a meeting with his students again to ask them about their dreams and to where they reach. He found the largest percentage left his target and engaged with the everyday problems. They lost their dreams and targets.
Also he found that only 3% of his students had achieved their targets and more. And they control in direct or indirect way in life of the other 97% of students.
Dale Carnegie asked them about the main habit of their success. The answer was the same in words and meanings.
They used to ask themselves every morning:
“What should I do today to reach my target?”
And at night they used to ask themselves another question:
“What I had achieved this day for my target?”
This habit was every day without laziness, boredom or relentless. This was the secret of their success today, after 20 years. It was related with insistence, too.
